Can a host ever be dismissed?
Unfortunately, yes.
Christian Women Affiliate serves a kaleidoscope of talented women who’ve united in the mission of bringing resources to the Christian Woman Online.
We are a community of women that impact our world and each other with the love of God.
As a community, we are representing various Christian denominations. We don’t all see eye to eye on every point, but we do find unity in our love of Jesus and our sincere desire to serve Him with every ounce of our being.
My philosophy as the CEO of Christian Women Affiliate is to test everything against the Word, not merely my religious doctrinal viewpoint. If something contradicts God’s Word, it is dismissed.
That is applicable for all areas of CWA.
For example: If someone is posting material in our community that contradicts God’s Word, I will remove the post and contact them to explain why the post was removed. This is not speaking of differences of opinion or personal beliefs, but if it is contrary to scripture. Sometimes believers say things that are not Biblically accurate, but we do not have any ill agenda. We simply don’t know. This is an opportunity to teach and support each other. I will always address people as if this is the case. If it becomes clear that the individual has an obvious goal to distract, divide or confuse believers, I will remove the individual.
Additionally, if an author has written material that conflicts with our Christian World view, they will not be approved for review with the CWA Review Crew.
The same applies with CWA Radio. When approving hosts for CWA Radio, I have to consider prayerfully each submission. Although I would love to just say yes to any that apply to be CWA Radio Hosts, I will stay true to the integrity of what I want CWA to be known for. Please do not assume just because someone has the funds that I will add them as a host.
This is a prayer-filled decision and I take it seriously.
My first and foremost goal of CWA Radio is to provide listeners with quality material, Biblical application and Godly counsel. I will protect listeners at all costs. If material does not line up with the Word of God, I will challenge it.
If a radio host is not coming from a Biblical foundation, resists correction or promotes confusion, they will not last on our station.
Another possible cause for dismissal is if payments are not made on schedule. The first payment must be made within one week of approval or I will not progress with setting up the show.
Failure to supply the requested materials (high-quality show logo in sizes specified, bio, etc) may also be cause for delays and possible dismissal. I also reserve the right to cancel shows which consistently fail to go on air during their allotted time. Consistency is very important. See here.
With regards to materials, payments and consistency, my first instinct is never to cancel a show for these reasons or after only one offense. I am very approachable and happy to work with you to make graphics you may need, establish payment arrangements, shift time schedules or help you in any other way that I can. The key is to communicate.
My most critical cause for dismissal is misrepresentation of God's Word which I will not be lax on.
In the event that a host needs to be removed, I will make every attempt to give the host warning prior to dismissal. I cannot always guarantee 30 days notice prior to removal. I do promise to begin that process with a private discussion addressing my concerns and attempting to come to an agreement. If we are able to agree and the host is willing to make any needed changes, the host will continue on CWA Radio. If an agreement is not possible, the host will be removed immediately and any future or unfulfilled payments would be refunded in full. All matters of this kind will be handled in a Biblical manner and implemented with integrity and respect.
God is at the helm of this ship and I will follow Him when He is prompting me to stop, go, or change direction.
